Opening with Uncertainty

In these days of COVID it is easy to get caught up in many anxieties. Many of these are well founded, as we see numbers rise and governments adjusting and re-adjusting their courses of action. We may personally know someone who has been touched by illness. Uncertain things lie ahead.

But where there is uncertainty we answer with certainty.
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." Hebrews 13:8
We know Christ has conquered death. We know, more importantly, He has not only conquered physical death, but death of the soul. We know we are held in the palm of God's hand and that nothing catches Him off guard. What shall we fear? All of creation and beyond has been dealt with, in our favour, because we are children of the King.
We do not ignore the problems that go on around us. We don't deny our doubts and fears, or the fears of others. But we don't ignore the grace surrounding us, either.  We do face fears with the truth that, in the midst of trouble, the love of God is more than sufficient. He proved it some 2,000 years ago, and proves it still now.
